Regional Commander of Marine (MAR) David Jordan led a four-member delegation of MAR to pay a courtesy visit to Beijing and Guangdong Province between June 13 and 16, aiming to establish closer ties with China Coast Guard (CCG).

This was the first Force delegation visiting CCG Headquarters at Beijing since 2018. During the visit in Beijing, both parties recognised the results of the longstanding cooperation between MAR and Mainland maritime enforcement authorities. It was also agreed that parallel actions against cross-boundary illegal activities at sea would be enhanced and training exchange launched. Moreover, the delegation visited CCG South China Sea Sub-bureau and Guangdong CCG to understand their latest strategy and technology in combatting illegal activities in Mainland waters.

The visit fostered the relationship between MAR and CCG, laying a sound foundation for further collaboration of both parties.
