Women’s national volleyball team (the national team) had an exchange with the disciplined services of Hong Kong, including the Force, Customs and Excise Department, Fire Services Department, Correctional Services Department and Immigration Department, at the Police Officers’ Club on June 21. Acting Secretary for Security Mr Cheuk Hau-yip attended the event to show his support and the disciplined services also sent their women’s volleyball teams as representatives to join the event.


The event featured on-site interviews, Q&A sessions, warm-up games and friendly volleyball matches. The head coach of the national team Mr Cai Bin and the national team players shared their experience and anecdotes during training and competitions for the participants to understand the bitterness behind their success. Afterwards, the national team players had a friendly match with the women’s volleyball players of the disciplined services. All the guests and audience enthusiastically cheered for the players. Members of the national team also acted as guest coaches to teach skills to the women volleyball players of the disciplined services.


Chairperson of the Police Volleyball Club (PVC) Tse Tsui-yan said that the event not only promoted exchanges between the national and local volleyball players, but also advanced the development of sports within the discipline services and the community.
