Station Sergeant Lau Chi-chung and Sergeant Li Ho-yin went to Manly, Australia to attend the “Frontline: Leading for Performance” course offered by the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM) between July 24 and 28.

The two officers took the training course with 16 local police officers and firefighters. They took part in thematic lectures and group discussions to enhance their leadership and management skills. The trainees shared their experience in law enforcement and explored how to effectively lead officers to cope with social and frontline changes. Moreover, the management of AIPM, police officers of New South Wales (NSW) and representatives of NSW fire and rescue agencies met with the trainees to share the leadership and management experience they had gained throughout the years. Lau Chi-chung and Li Ho-yin both agreed that the course enhanced their management and leadership capability, and facilitated the establishment of friendship and working partnership with their overseas counterparts.
