The Marine (MAR) Police Mentorship Programme (MPMP) organised its annual summer camp at the Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp at Pat Heung on September 24. 39 MPMP mentees from Hong Kong Sea School, Maritime Services Training Institute, Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps, Project Gemstone, Hong Kong Army Cadets, Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol and Lingnan Institute of Further Education joined the event.

The camp aimed to provide mentees with discipline, leadership and team-building training through diverse team activities, and to deepen their recognition about police duties through guidance of the mentors. It also enabled the mentees to understand the work of marine police during the camp and get more prepared to join the Force in the future and pursue a career in MAR.

During the closing ceremony, Regional Commander of MAR David Jordan congratulated the mentees for their completing the activities and challenges. He encouraged them to persevere in pursuit of their goals and hoped that they would become part of MAR in the future.
