The Police Volleyball Club (PVC) organised the Major Formations Volleyball Competition at Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC) on September 24, attracting over a hundred officers forming seven men’s and five women’s teams to compete for the awards. After competing vigorously, New Territories North clinched the Men’s championship, Marine came the second and New Territories South the third. In the Women’s division, Crime Wing claimed the championship while the first and second runners-up went to New Territories North and Kowloon West respectively.


Director of Operations Chan Tung attended the event and presented awards to the athletes. He also thanked PVC for its dedication to organising various events and success in achieving “friendship through sports; recruitment through sports” to tell good police stories through sports. PVC Chairperson Tse Tsui-yan expressed gratitude to all participating teams for their active involvement. She highlighted that the competition featured separate divisions for men and women for the first time, aiming to attract participation of more officers.


Police volleyball teams conduct training at PSRC from 7pm to 10pm every Thursday. Force members and their families interested in joining the training may contact Senior Inspector Jackie (Tel: 6050 4211).
