Superintendent of Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) Ko Tik led a 20-member delegation to Shenzhen and Dongguan between October 11 and 13, visiting Shenzhen Public Security Bureau (SZ PSB) and the headquarters of two tech giants located there. The delegation comprised seven members from CSTCB and the e-Crime Processing and Analysis Hub, as well as 13 frontline crime officers under Project COHERE.

The delegation visited the Anti-Fraud Joint Service Operation Centre of SZ PSB to learn about the trend of local scam cases and its anti-scam measures, as well as exchanging practical experience. Subsequently, the delegation visited Huawei’s two headquarters in Dongguan and Shenzhen, and Meituan’s headquarters in Shenzhen, to explore the application of AI in police duties, big data analytics and their manpower deployment systems. The delegation found the visits very fruitful and horizon-broadening.
