NTS Officers' Mess Fun Run

Mr Braithwaite leading (temporarily) the NTS Officers' Mess Fun Run
BRAVING rabid dogs and rocky trails, the intrepid members of the NTS Officers' Mess, led by that Olympian runner (in stature, if not in speed) Keith Braithwaite, RC NTS, took part in the annual NTS Officers' Mess Fun Run to help burn-off those excess calories acquired over the Christmas and Lunar New Year Festivities.

This year, 15 runners took to the rocky slopes behind NTS HQ and, as usual, the younger runners took the prizes, with Steve Barker of T NTS taking an early lead and finishing in 18 minutes, some five minutes faster than the next runner.

Honourable mention, however, goes to Mr Jaime Gill, CCI NTS, who cut ten minutes off his time from last year, and Ian Nicholson, DRC NTS, who managed to shave two minutes off his best time from previous races.

Prizes were presented in the NTS Officers' Mess by the PMC (on condition that the competitors showered first) and runners were encouraged by the RC NTS Keith Braithwaite to get plenty of liquids inside of them after such a demanding event by joining him afterwards at the NTS Mess Super Happy Hour.
