NTS road safety

Pedestrian protectors: Officers hand out road safety tips

Traffic New Territories South kicked-off a road safety drive with a promotion day on April 9, to boost driver and pedestrian awareness and reduce accidents.

The drive included a road safety procession, the Pedestrian Safety Campaign Day, Senior Citizen Road Safety Quiz, and bicycle and driving-safety items. Banners sporting road-safety slogans were also hung on lampposts in accident blackspots around the Region such as Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing and Sha Tin.

Officiating at the function were Traffic NTS Senior Superintendent Ling Sin-ching, Luk Choi-lung of the Road Safety Patrol and members of the three district councils. Guests later rode on an open-top float through the districts' streets broadcasting safety messages and handing out souvenirs.
