Quartering site revamped in time for allocation exercise

The Quartering website on the Police Intranet has taken on a new look. The hues have gone ultramarine on an electronic circuit board background, reflecting the determination of Quartering Division in launching the computerisation programme.

The page is attractive not only in its magnificent outlook and colour tone, but also content. The computerisation programme highlights the importance of internal communication as emphasised by the Force.

The majority of staff are entitled to various types of civil service housing benefits, and as there are quite a number, every officer should get familiar with the details of the different benefits before making a choice. The page includes details on each benefit, eligibility criteria, application procedures and relevant forms. When deciding on a particular benefit, staff can download the right form and make an application immediately.

One of the main purposes for the Quartering and Housing System is for the convenience it offers through on-line application. This will be operational from April 20 when the Inspectorate quartering allocation exercise will be held.

From then, efficiency will be greatly enhanced, saving time in application and allocation procedures for both applicants and the Division.
