Paul Keylock romped home to complete the London marathon on April 16 to secure some $500,000 for charity.

The Planning and Development Branch Chief Inspector completed the 40-kilometre course in four hours, 16 minutes, coming in a gutsy 12,114th out of more than 32,000 participants.

The money, five-times his initial target, will be donated to the Watchdog Early Learning and Development Centre for special-need children.
