Fight Crime run hits its Peak


The Fight Crime Shield runners blast off!

Some 300 runners took part in the 12th Fight Crime Shield at the Peak on May 7.

There was a category for Junior Police Call members and an Open one which included competitors from Police, and the Immigration, Fire Services, Correctional Services and Customs and Excise Departments, doing two laps of the 3.5-kilometre track.

JPC members from 15 districts took part in the event kicked-off by Hong Kong Island Regional Commander Leung Chi-bun, Action Committee Against Narcotics chairman Professor Lee Shiu-hung and Central and Western District Council chairman Wu Chor-nam.

FSD Team A won the disciplined forces category with the MTRC crowned the fastest of the corporate teams. The JPC top prize went to Kowloon City Team A, while Lai Ho-kei from Yau Tsim and Chau Chiu-nam from Yuen Long won the men's and ladies' JPC trophies respectively.

Souvenirs carrying anti-crime messages were presented.
