 Police ping-pong power! |
A Force table tennis troop won a major division of the Hang Seng Hong Kong Cup 2000 in a fierce final on November 12 at Kowloon Park. The six-member team, led by Lee Siu-kin, took out the event's Corporate Division trophy, landing some $16,000 in prizes which they donated to the Police Sports Council. Some 94 teams from different companies, organisations and table tennis clubs participated in the event which was divided into two categories - Corporate and Club Divisions. It started October 8 and raised $461,000 for the Hong Kong Sports Association for the Physically Disabled. Other Force players were Ma Lung-sang, Lau Chun-fung, Chan Wai-chong, Wong Wan-chi and Ng Mai-wui.
