A couple commended officers at Tsuen Wan Police Station on August 1 for the swift detection of a theft in their home in May.

Officers arrested a man and recovered $55,000 worth of stolen property. The man pleaded guilty and was ordered to perform 200 hours of community service and pay $26,200 in damages by the court in July.

In their letter to Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui, the couple praised Woman Detective Inspector Chan Kam-kuk and her team for being courteous and efficient in recovering the stolen property which included a diamond wedding ring.
