Anti-crime message

Street deception cases in Tuen Mun have been on the rise lately and the victims are generally vulnerable, elderly residents.

To address this issue Tuen Mun District Commander Au Hok-lam, his two divisional commanders, Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee members, New Territories North crime prevention officers and Tuen Mun fight crime ambassadors delivered messages relating to anti-crime and the prevention of falling victim to deception through the distribution of leaflets and souvenirs in San Hui, Tuen Mun and Chi Lok Fa Yuen, Castle Peak on August 28.

The "Help People to Help Themselves" fight crime campaign was widely publicised. Police also appealed to the public to support combating crimes of deception by identifying those easily targetted as well as guiding young people to remain law abiding citizens.
