Fight crime youth ambassadors distribute leaflets

Wong Tai Sin police officers maximised the opportunity presented to them at the annual rice distribution to the elderly event, organised by a local community group, to spread the fight crime message to senior citizens at Kai Tak East Indoor Games Hall on August 27.

Wong Tai Sin District Commander Ian Tyzzer led officers from WTS Police Community Relations Office and Kowloon East Crime Prevention Office, together with fight crime youth ambassadors, to distribute crime prevention leaflets as part of the "Help People to Help Themselves" fight crime campaign.

Assistant Police Community Relations Officer Kwok Yiu-wai also used this opportunity to brief over a thousand elderly people in attendance on the modus operandi of swindlers together with practical tips for avoiding such traps. Members of the audience responded enthusiastically with many relevant questions about this matter.
