Kwun Tong anti-burglary seminar

Burglaries in factory areas are one of the concerns facing officers in Kwun Tong District, so KT Deputy District Commander Eddie Lam Wah-chiu organised a seminar to promote crime prevention on September 6.

Mr Lam said successful crime prevention did not rely solely on the Police but also the co-operation of the community concerned. He emphasised the need for a multi-agency approach and efforts by the public at large.

More than 30 people attended the seminar in Kwun Tong Police Station.

Attendees included members of the Kwun Tong District Council, Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee, Chairman of Kwun Tong Town & Factory Area Committee and representatives from local factory security management offices.

The seminar began with a brief on the current crime trends in the factory area, followed by a presentation and demonstration of effective crime prevention measures by the Kowloon East Regional Crime Prevention Officer.

Valuable ideas and suggestions were shared. Attendees showed great interest in advanced anti-burglary technology and supported the Security Personnel Awareness Campaign.
