We're getting ready for the World Cup down at the POC, putting up the colours of China, Sweden, Nigeria and Argentina, and organising our own fantastic football fun! On June 1, 8 and 15 we will have a Kids' Penalty Shooting Competition from 2 pm to 4 pm at the rooftop tennis court - free to enter and no need to register.

The best shooters will then go through to the Grand Final on June 23 (Sunday), where medals and prizes will be up for grabs. We will also have a World Cup Indoor 5-a-side Team Competition on June 23 for kids aged between 9 and 12 - for this you need to register in advance at Reception, and there will be a training session on June 15 from 4 pm to 6 pm to meet your team mates and learn some skills (each member can bring one guest for this event).

The first Summer Swimming Classes will start on June 14, running every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Courses are divided into Parents/Guardians & Toddlers (2.30 pm - 3 pm), Course A for 4 years up (3 pm - 4 pm), Course B for 5 years up who can swim 15m (4 pm - 5 pm), Course C for 6 years up who can swim 25m (5 pm - 6 pm) and Adults (6 pm - 7 pm). For full details contact Club Reception, or check out the POC Discussion Board on POINT.

Guardian Passes will be available again this year, to allow members' children who are under the age of 10 to use the swimming pool accompanied by a nominated guardian. Each principal member's family may apply for one pass only for swimming sessions before 4.30 pm on weekdays from Monday to Friday, and the pass is valid from June 1 to August 31.

There are still some places available for the Children's Ballet Class for kids aged between 7 and 12 held every Wednesday evening from 6 pm - 7 pm. Application forms at reception now.
