	In response to an article published in an English-language newspaper on April 26, a letter was sent to the paper on the same day clarifying that Police did not bar the Falun Gong from holding a protest recently. A letter was sent to a Chinese-language newspaper on April 27 denying a report that Police had shirked its responsibilities in dealing with a criminal damage case in a North Point carpark. A letter was sent to two Chinese-language newspapers on April 28 denying that CP's stance on the "handcuffed incident" at Chater Garden had softened after a meeting with the four journalist association representatives. In response to an article on the Chater Garden incident, published in a Chinese-language newspaper on April 29, a letter was sent to the paper on the same day maintaining that Police would continue to facilitate the media as far as possible in the coverage of incidents. In response to stories in two Chinese-language newspapers, letters were sent to them on May 3 clarifying that CP had never made any remarks regarding "pay cut will not affect staff morale" throughout an earlier interview in an RTHK radio programme. A letter was sent to a Chinese-language newspaper on May 3 to respond to its letter sent to CP on April 30 and a related article published on May 2, regarding the handcuffing of reporters at Chater Garden.
