A promotion qualifying examination will be held on November 2 for Auxiliary Police Constables and Senior Auxiliary Constables to become Auxiliary Sergeants.

It will be held between 3.30 pm and 5 pm at the Police Training School and Auxiliary Police Headquarters.

Before the examination, two Mock Tests will be carried out on September 17 (Tuesday) and September 19 (Thursday) between 7 pm and 8.30 pm on both dates.

The examination will consist of 50 questions and will be of 90 minutes duration.

On completion of this examination, it is envisaged that a formal promotion exercise can be started to fill up anticipated vacancies in 2003.

To sit for the examination, candidates must personally apply through their ADVC AUX using the application form specially designed for the exercise.

Candidates should familiarise themselves with the 'Instructions to Candidates' attached to the PEN message that was issued on May 3.

In addition, a highly detailed and comprehensive examination syllabus has been issued via HKAPF Headquarters' Orders No. 2 of 2002, Part One. This will enable candidates to focus their studies on the relevant material.

Applications should be submitted by June 3 (Monday). For enquiries, contact your ADVC AUX, or AUX SUP Bureau at 2993-1604.
