Police captured the Commissioner's trophy from the Correctional Services Department in the second annual Disciplined Services Golf Tournament at Kau Sai Chau, Sai Kung on March 22.

Organised by the Police Golfing Society, the event took place on the South Course. The Fire Services Department joined the five teams from the Force, Independent Commission Against Corruption, Immigration, Customs and Excise, and Correctional Services Department, who competed in the inaugural tournament for the trophy donated by the Commissioner, Mr Tsang Yam-pui, also the Society's former Chairman.

Under an overcast sky, some excellent golf was played throughout the day. Luckily, the rain held off and a number of low scores were posted and a large number of birdies returned.

The Police players posted scores around level par and their consistency enabled them to hold off a strong challenge from Immigration, who filled the runners-up spot, with last year's winner finishing equal third with the Customs and Excise Department.

Deputy Commissioner Operations, Mr Lau Yuk-kuen, presented the prizes during a buffet lunch following the tournament and participants said they were looking forward to competing in this wonderful event again next year.
