A Taekwondo training class for adult beginners will start on June 10 at the Police Sports and Recreation Club in Kowloon.

Organised by the Police Taekwondo Club, the class is aimed at promoting Taekwondo as a life sport, with emphasis on physical and mental fitness.

Senior Inspector Rocky Tse, a sixth Dan blackbelt and one of the instructors, told OffBeat, that training sessions would involve stretching exercises and techniques, and self-defense.

"There won't be any free-sparring practices or full contact fighting. Students could attain an internationally recognised blackbelt in three to four years," he said.

The class is open to adult beginners, regardless of age and sex, and retirees. The training session will be held every Monday between 8 pm and 9.30 pm. The fee is $80 per month.

For information and registration, please approach the Taekwondo instructor during training sessions at the PSRC Indoor Sports Hall, or contact Rocky Tse at ip-sip-int-3-nb or Patrick Hon at ip-sip-tmb-ntw-traffic.
