Family life education pogramme for HKI Region

A family life education programme, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters, Police Headquarters, Welfare Services Group of Personnel Services Branch and Moral Education Concern Group, will be held on July 27 (Saturday) at the Police Training School.

A seminar entitled "Overcoming Stress, Turning Crisis into Opportunities and Living a Fulfilled Life" will be held in the morning.

Professor Wong Chung-kwong, Chairman of Positive Living United Services, will discuss with participants strategies of overcoming stress and adversities.

His talks will cover the following themes:

  • Understanding and overcoming stress and enhancing resilience.

  • Strategies of overcoming adversities and turning adversities into opportunities.

  • Mastering life skills and pursuing a fulfilled life.

While parents are attending the seminar, their children, aged above three, will be participating in educational activities organized by Registered Social Worker of Caritas and staff from ICAC.

In addition, a nanny service will be provided for toddlers. After the seminar, there will be a lunch buffet at PTS and a visit to the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence.

Shuttle bus service between Hong Kong Island, PTS and the museum will be arranged at 8.45am and 2.30pm.

The fee is $40 per head for both adults and children aged above three. It includes lunch, transportation and the museum visit.

Enrolment started last week (Thursday). Please approach Hong Kong Island Regional Welfare Office or Training and Staff Relation Officers at Hong Kong Island Region in person for application and payment.
