All applications must be submitted by the end of this month. Application forms are available from schools in the area.

The competition is open to primary and secondary school students of the region.

Earlier, more than 1,000 senior citizens attended a Chinese opera singing contest at the Ko Shan Theatre.

Organised by the road safety team, the competition was supported by community centres as well as centres for the elderly.

The Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong composed a Cantonese operatic song for the road safety contest.
