The Police History Club (PHC) was formally established on February 4. It is open to all Force members and their families and almost 100 have already joined. The aims of the PHC are to encourage all members in the Force and their families to participate in historical and cultural activities in leisure time; enhance and arouse their interest in acquiring knowledge of histories and cultures all over the world, and develop history as a personal interest or study - an incarnation of healthy lifestyle.

At the Police Officers' Club on May 31, the PHC held the first in a planned series of free history lectures. The first one to be presented was by Inspector Mr Robbie McRobbie and his subject was 'he Remarkable Story of Robert the Bruce' It was very well received.

In near future, the PHC will organise such things as lectures on Chinese modern history, activity approach history classes for children, historical tours, and more.
