Wandering boy re-united with father

A security guard at a Wong Tai Sin estate found a little boy, aged about two, wandering around on his own. He immediately reported the matter to the Police. Tsz Wan Shan Division Patrol Sub-Unit 1 Police Constables Mr Wong Chi-hong and Mr Lau Fat-cheong attended the scene and took the child into their care.

Subsequent enquiries established that he had been on his way to kindergarten with his father and had wandered off while the latter was making some purchases in a shop. The father was contacted and the unperturbed wanderer safely returned to him.

The boy's father wrote a Letter of Appreciation thanking the officers profusely for their compassionate and speedy action to re-unite them.
