Dear Editor,

This month saw the departure of the Assistant Manager of the Police Officers' Club, Robbie McRobbie, to pastures new in the form of the Hong Kong Rugby Union where he will take up a position that will keep him in close contact with members of the Force, through Rugby.

I'm sure we have all seen Robbie effectively organise functions at the club, from children's birthday parties and Halloween, Christmas and Easter festivities to extravaganzas such as the Elvis Night, Oktoberfest and very popular boxing smokers. He likewise always availed himself to be of assistance and his charming personality won him many friends.

Robbie has been an exceptionally capable organiser and he actively participated in all POC events, be it dressing up as Dracula for the Halloween party or as a very tall Santa Claus for the Christmas party, and, of course, he was also always there on hand to assist the lovely round announcer into the ring on Boxing Smoker nights.

Robbie sought to deal with all club users with utmost courtesy and professionalism, and treated everyone impartially.

I'm sure I echo the sentiments of all other club users and staff in thanking him for his efforts during his posting at the POC wishing him well for the future.

David Grant
Assistant District Commander (Crime)
Mong Kok District
