Three officers recently shared with school principals and teachers their experiences of working with schools in dealing with campus bullying.

In a workshop conducted by the Education and Manpower Bureau, Yau Tsim District Police Community Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Lau Chi-pui, Woman Sergeant Marina Wong of Lantau District and Woman Sergeant Lai Choi-king of Kowloon City District had made lively and stimulating presentations to 80 participants from 21 primary schools and 31 secondary schools, along with other guest speakers, including a solicitor, an educational psychologist and a school discipline master.

The workshop had delved into how to deal with campus bullying from the perspectives of law, law enforcement and psychology, with the ultimate objective of creating a "harmonious school".

Mr Lau said he and his colleagues had updated the participants on the Force's roles and work in preventing and handling campus bullying and victimisation, as well as on how to seek help from police for those problems.

Finding the workshop very useful, the participants had suggested more similar events be organised in the coming school year, Mr Lau added.
