The Police Homepage (http://www.info.gov.hk/police/) has been further improved in terms of content and layout, in order to enhance public's understanding of police work.

The revamped homepage now has a number of new features, including a welcome message by the Commissioner, compliments from the public and e-compliment forms, Police College, letters to editors, Retired Officers' Corner, CPB Yellow Pages, FAQs on Traffic Matters and Police Recruitment Footage.

In his welcome message, Commissioner Lee Ming-kwai said: "This website has provided as much information as we can to enhance public understanding of what we do and engender their support for our fight against crime. We have included a wide range of information to enable the public to know more about the Hong Kong Police Force, including the state of crime; crime prevention advice; recruitment; police training; Junior Police Call; methods to contact the police and many more.

"I am confident that with the support of the community, to whom we serve, Hong Kong will remain one of the safest and most stable societies in the world."

The e-compliment system rolled out in early March, providing a convenient means for the public to express their appreciation of police officers' efforts. So far 25 e-compliments have been received and referred to the Formation Commanders concerned for information and necessary action.
