Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) further strengthened working relations with its Mainland counterparts when a four-member delegation of senior officers from Beijing and Shenzhen attended a knowledge-sharing seminar from November 1 to 3 at the invitation by CCB.

The delegation was led by Ms Han Hao, Deputy Director of the Economic Crime Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security.

In opening the seminar, CCB Chief Superintendent Ng Sai-kuen stressed the importance of further enhancing the intelligence network with Mainland authorities in order to effectively tackle cross-border commercial crimes.

At the seminar, representatives from both sides gave presentations on their current economic crime situations, shared experience on the latest techniques for tackling counterfeit currencies and on the effectiveness of intelligence-led investigations.

The seminar saw an enthusiastic exchange of views, and was well received by both sides.

It was rewarding for CCB officers to have close interaction with officers from Beijing and Shenzhen, in line with CP's three-year Strategic Action Plan in respect of greater interface with the Mainland. This has afforded them an invaluable opportunity to enhance their professional knowledge and to forge closer relations with fraud fighters in the region.
