Security Department of HKU

The department has written to DC WDIST to thank the officers for their professional performances after a suspect was apprehended for installing a micro-recording camera inside a female toilet at the university. The department also complimented SIP Tsang and PCRO officers for working closely with it in maintaining campus security.

School principal

The officers have investigated a suspected case of child abuse involving girl students. Although no offence has been detected, the school principal greatly appreciates the officers' efficiency and efforts in handling the case. In particular, the principal has extended special thanks to SIP Woo Kam-yan for his assistance and sympathetic attitude to the students, and to DSGT Lau Wai-por, DPCs Lau Kin-ting and Chui Chi-kon, and WDPCs Wong Nga-ki and King Mei-ying for advising the students to be wary of child abuse.

Kwai Tsing District Councillor

In a letter to DC KWTDIST, the councillor praised the officers for their alertness and swift action in handling an arson committed by teenagers outside a block at a public rental housing estate on Tsing Yi. After arresting four suspects, the officers also successfully detected two other arson cases, thus protecting the life and property of the local community, the councillor added.

Motorist

The motorist sought police assistance after his private car was damaged in a hit-and-run incident. . The motorist greatly appreciated PC Cheung's efficiency in solving his problem within just a few days, and his good work attitude.

Two residents

The residents said the officers were full of compassion, care and courtesy as they handled the case involving the death of their father in a hospital, displaying the professionalism expected of police officers.

School supervisor

In a letter to RC HKI, the supervisor thanked the officers for organising a "fantastic visit" to the police for her students during their school's Police Week, enabling the students to gain "a truly rewarding experience".

Residents

The resident found his son missing after he had queued up for food at a fast food shop, but much to his relief, the officers brought the child, crying and frightened, back to him shortly afterwards. The resident is thankful to the officers for taking good care of his son.
