Led by their President, Chief Engineer Jolly Wong from the Communications Branch, members of the Hong Kong Police IT Society (HKPITS) made a study visit to Ngong Ping 360 on May 10.

The most exciting part of the visit was an introductory talk by the Technical Manager of the Ngong Ping 360 Company Limited, Mr Kenny Pan, on the construction project, cables, cable cabins and safety guidelines. Members of the society were also taken on a guided tour of the company's control centre, storeroom of computers, and 70mm-diameter cables.

With Buddha's birthday around the corner, the society members took the opportunity to visit the Po Lin Temple and enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal under the chanting of Buddhist monks. After the visit, a member, Chief Inspector Chow Chat-kun, remarked: "Members and their families have a good time learning more about construction of a landmark project and enjoy a vegetarian meal during Buddha's birthday."
