One of the SDs, "Policing WITH the community" is closely related to the security industry. In the next three years, the police will strengthen the public awareness of crime prevention. For example, when security guards witness crimes, suspicious persons or activities, they should inform the Police as soon as possible so as to bring the criminals to justice. Property management companies can also strengthen the security of housing estates, and security guards can also strengthen liaison with the Police. In addition, the Police will also enhance interactive communication with different sectors of the community including the security industry through different social media to raise awareness of crime prevention, crime fighting and shared responsibility of public safety. The "Security Service Best Training Awards" is one of the best initiatives to demonstrate this policy.
