A new school year is now about to start. In order to cope with the first Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, teachers have arranged plenty of additional classes and past papers for the students. Since the examination is launched in a new format, we get no precedence for reference. Due to this reason, teachers have significantly enhanced their teaching methods. However, the additional classes and past papers are intensive. I can imagine that it will be a substantial working year already. The workloads drive us out of breath. Some of the students may even be put off by their studies and fool around more throughout the last secondary school year.

Certainly, this is just some of the students' thoughts. As some may put greater effort into their studies, while others maintain their comforts and pleasures, some will step ahead. They will continue to try their best to enter university, and raise their chances of acquiring an academic degree. In contrast, the students who maintain their comforts and pleasures may possibly lose their chance to be a university student. In order to enroll for our favourite campuses, we should not be slack in our studies at any moment, and maintain our best for dealing with the public examinations. We may feel depressed during these situations so we should find some way to relieve our own stress during our studies. The proper amount of pressure can promote people's progress, but too much pressure can cause the reverse.

Nevertheless, it doesn't mean entering university is the only way for the future. There are many successful people without an academic degree from university. The main attribute I focus on is people's attitude. We should never think of giving up! We should try our best at everything! But above all, do not push ourselves too hard!

There is another thing I would like to mention. School is like a big family. We have met many friends here. We laugh and we cry with our friends. We should enjoy and treasure all our time at school until its last moment. There will be wonderful memories when we get old. I know some people might have been hurt or we have hurt others before. I hope those students will have a nice start in the upcoming school year. Why don't we resolve our conflicts with our peers? If you are in your last school year just like me, seize your opportunities! Don't make yourself feel regret in the future.
