The Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) held a two-day seminar on Macao's gambling industry on October 24 and 25, with Macao Judiciary Police's Head of Gaming-related Crimes Division, Mr Chan Kin-hong, Head of Special Operation Section, Mr Lei Ka-wo, and Senior Criminal Investigator, Mr Leong Kin-wai, making presentations as keynote speakers. Representatives from the Financial Investigations Division of Narcotics Bureau and OCTB also participated in the seminar.

 

Assistant Commissioner (Crime) John Ribeiro officiated at the opening of the seminar, which attracted more than 300 participants, including Crime Wing officers, crime stream officers from regions, Force Gambling Experts and Public Prosecutors from the Department of Justice.

 

Besides introducing the development of Macao's gambling industry and the challenges facing the industry, the keynote speakers answered many questions from the floor, benefitting Force members abilities to investigate related cases in future.
