The District Investigation Team (DIT) 5 of Eastern District has won the Hong Kong Island Region Best DIT Award 2012. Hong Kong Island Regional Commander (HKI RC) Li Kin-fai presented members of the team with certificates of recognition on November 13.

 

At the same presentation ceremony, three other DITs were commended for their outstanding performances in other aspects. DIT 6 of Wan Chai District won the title of "The Team with the Most Outstanding Detection Rate"; DIT 7 of Western District scored "The Team with the Most Outstanding Conviction Rate"; and DIT 8 of Central District captured "The Most Determined Investigation Team".  

 

Mr Li praised the DIT officers for their enthusiasm, professionalism and bravery in face of challenges. Encouraging the officers to broaden the outlook, Mr Li pointed out that crime investigations would help them enrich their work experience. "You might have opportunities to work and liaise with officers of other law enforcement agencies. In this regard, you would be able to broaden your overseas horizons," Mr Li reminded the officers.
