A delegation of 26 Junior Police Call (JPC) members, led by Sau Mau Ping (SMP) District Police Community Relations Officer Yiu Hon-sang, visited Singapore from July 29 to August 2 on a cultural exchange programme with the National Police Cadets Corps (NPCC).

After the JPC visit, the NPCC paid a return visit to the Force from October 29 to November 1. On the first day of their itinerary, the NPCC members visited the Police Museum to get a better idea of the history of the Force.

They later proceeded to the Drug InfoCentre at Queensway Government Offices, the first permanent exhibition hall for anti-drug education in Hong Kong, where they learned of the serious harm and life-threatening danger of abusing drugs.

The NPCC members also visited the base of Marine South Division and boarded a police launch for Cheung Chau to visit Cheung Chau Police Station and Cheung Chau JPC Clubhouse.  After this, they called at Cheung Chau Government Secondary School and watched dance and singing performances given by students.

In the evening, the NPCC members headed for the Police Sports and Recreation Club for a Barbecue Night with Sau Mau Ping JPC members. Both parties exchanged views and developed friendship over the grills. Many JPC Honorary Presidents of Sau Mau Ping District attended the barbecue to meet the visitors and witnessed the JPC members having their horizons broadened and understanding of the cultures of Singapore enhanced.

Before returning home the next afternoon, the NPCC members called at Sau Mau Ping Police Station in the morning, taking a close look at police equipment, the duties of Report Room and police dogs, and the operations of the Identification Parade Room.
