The Kowloon East Running Club was established in January last year to promote healthy lifestyle and boost communication among officers in Kowloon East Region. After work every week, the club holds a fun run, which starts from Tseung Kwan O (TKO) Police Station to Lohas Park via Wan Po Road and returns via the same route, covering about seven km.

The running course is suitable for runners of all levels, from beginners to more experienced runners. They would find running along the route very relaxing and enjoy the scenic views of the Island East and Lei Yue Mun at the same time.

Besides the regular run, the Club also organises runs starting from different police stations, for example from Ngau Tau Kok Police Station to the newly opened Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, from Wong Tai Sin Police Station to Kowloon Tsai Park. For the more adventured runners, the Club also organises a longer run of 12 km from Tseung Kwan O Police Station to Sai Kung City Centre and Lei Yue Mun.

On December 17, the Club held a Christmas charity run for a school for students with special needs. During the run, the runners dressed in Christmas costumes, treated the students to Christmas carols and handed out gifts, warming the hearts of the kids and discharging a social responsibility during the festival season. The Club will hold another charity run in the coming Lunar New Year.

If you want to take running as a healthy pursuit, the KE Running Club is a good choice.
