EDIST runs Project  "Blue Sky"

Eastern District (EDIST) Police Community Relations Office, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Playground Association Jockey Club North Point Youth Integrated Services Centre the and Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College, has been running a project called "Blue Sky" since 2012. The project is a metaphor for the future of South Asian youths.

The Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) students studying in the Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College are the service targets of the project, under which group meetings, training, seminars and outreach training are offered.

Last year, activities were organised to help Form 6 school leavers join the job market by giving them a better understanding of the job requirements of different businesses. In the coming year, the focus will be helping Form 3 and 4 students with low motivation to pick up confidence, cultivate proper values and integrate into the community. With the co-operation of the Swire Group, the students will take part in the activities of a "Dream for the Dream" project, including visits to Cathay Pacific City and Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

NTS assists in NEC integration

Meanwhile, New Territories South (NTS) Regional Crime Prevention Office arranged a visit to the China Aircraft Services Limited on December 19 for 20 NEC students from the Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College to get a better idea of the local job market. During the visit, the students also came to know more about the operations and job opportunities of the company.
