Railway District (RAILDIST) teams up with the Junior Police Call and Senior Police Call of various districts regularly to host "Little Smart Cop" and "Senior Smart Cop" campaigns to engage different age groups for fighting and preventing crime, as well as promoting police-community relationship.

On December 17 last year, RAILDIST invited 11 "Fight Crime Veterans" from Kowloon City District to take part in the "Senior Smart Cop" Campaign, which was jointly organised with MTR Corporation to promote crime prevention.

That day, in Kowloon Tong MTR Station, MTR staff introduced the station's facilities and MTR by-laws to a party of "Senior Cops" dressed up in MTR Senior Smart Cop blue T-shirts. RAILDIST Acting Commander, Senior Superintendent (SSP) Sin Chi-sing, briefed the "Senior Cops" on the latest crime trend and criminals' modus operandi in RAILDIST in a bid to remind them to take good care of their personal belongings and remain alert to scams. He also called on them to disseminate crime prevention messages to their families and friends and come forward to report crimes to the police. SSP Sin also joined the "Senior Cops" in distributing crime prevention flyers on the station concourse.

At the end of the campaign, the "Senior Cops" commented that the "Senior Smart Cop" Campaign not only gave them a better idea of the railway system and RAILDIST, but also let them know how to assist the police in combatting crimes and make a contribution to the safety of Hong Kong.
