Yau Tsim District (YTDIST), in conjunction with Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee (YTM DFCC), Narcotics Division and Home Affairs Department, organised a Yau Tsim Mong Fight Crime and Anti-drug Family Night 2013 at the Piazza of the Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui on December 21, promoting the 2013 slogan: "Stand Firm and Say No to Drugs". 
 
The goal of mounting this large-scale publicity campaign before the long school holidays for Christmas and New Year was to disseminate anti-drugs and anti-crime messages to young people and remind them of the serious consequences of abusing drugs. 
 
Officiating guests include Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, Commissioner for Narcotics, Mrs Erika Hui, Mong Kok District Commander Duncan McCosh, YTDIST Commander Yu Tat-chung, YTM District Officer, Ms Ho Siu-ping, YTM DFCC Chairman, Mr Chan Siu-tong, Vice-Chairman, Mr Leung Chi-ming, YTM District Council Chairman, Mr Chung Kong-mo, and Junior Police Call Honorary President Council Chairmen, Mr Chiu Yu-hei, Mr Cheng Po-wo and Mr Yip Wah.
 
For the second consecutive year, YTM DFCC arranged for celebrity Aaron Kwok, who is the Yau Tsim Mong Fight Crime and Anti-drug Ambassador, to attend the event as an officiating guest and chant the slogan with the audience.
 
The programme included game and information booths set up by non-government organisations, volunteers of Narcotics Division and Junior Police Call members from Yau Tsim and Mong Kok districts, singing, magic show, as well as Police Band performances.
 
Prior to the event, the schools in Yau Tsim Mong participated in a slogan and poster design competition. Presentation of prizes also took place at the event, which attracted about 1,000 spectators, including locals, Non-ethnic Chinese and Yau Tsim Mong Fight Crime Veterans.
