Yau Tsim District  
 
As part of Winter Precaution, Yau Tsim District has conducted a series of publicity campaigns to remind the public to take care of their property during the festive occasion. The publicity campaigns commenced as early as December last year, with two large-scale campaigns taking place on January 17 and 22.  
 
The first campaign was held in Yau Ma Tei Division, targeting at the Jade Market and shops along Canton Road and Bowring Street with the support of the Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Chan Siu-tong, Yau Tsim Mong District Councillors, Yau Tsim Mong Fight Crime Veterans and Junior Police Call members. The second campaign was held in Tsim Sha Tsui Division along Park's Lane and in Kowloon Mosque and Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station to remind tourists, shopkeepers and ethnic minorities to enhance security of their shops or premises.
 
Tseung Kwan O Division  
 
On January 15, Kwun Tong District Commander Chau Cho-kei and Tseung Kwan O Divisional Commander Chan Kwok-kee and five Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee members, Mr Wan Yuet-cheung, Mr Chau Yin-ming, Mr Chan Kai-wai, Ms Ki Lai-mei and Ms Ng Chor-ha, visited shopping malls and distributed crime prevention flyers. Fight Crime Elderly Ambassadors also offered tips on crime prevention to residents.  
 
Mr Wan thanked the police for their crime prevention initiatives and he believed the residents would work closely with the police in combatting crimes.
Wan Chai District  
 
The Wan Chai District Fight-crime Carnival cum Winter Precaution Publicity Campaign came to a successful conclusion at Southorn Playground on January 18 with the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, as officiating guest.  
 
In his opening speech, Mr Lai praised the good work of both the Wan Chai District Fight Crime Committee and the Police for their co-operation and exemplary efforts to combat and prevent crimes.  
 
After the ceremony, government officials and Wan Chai District Senior Police Call members distributed anti-crime souvenirs to the public.
 
Kwai Tsing District  
 
In a bid to tackle burglaries in Ma Wan, Kwai Tsing District Commander Lam Yiu-wing, Deputy District Commander Graham Mitchelmore and Tsing Yi Divisional Commander Leung Tsz-kin met Legislative Councillor, Mr Michael Tien, and the representatives of Park Island on January 16. At the meeting, Mr Lam introduced the crime trend and the modus operandi of burglars and suggested a series of anti-burglary measures for management companies.
