More than 1,700 runners from the Force and other Disciplined Services turned up in Pak Tam Chung, Sai Kung for the annual Dowman Road Race on February 8.
 
Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung and senior officers joined the supporters in cheering on the runners at the finishing point and presented trophies and medals to the winners.
 
Police Constable (PC) Lai Hok-yan clinched the Men's Open title again, while Police College PC Tsang Yiu-ying captured the Championship of Women's Open. Police Tactical Unit Headquarters won the Specialist Team Relay again, with the six-member team completing the relay less than 48 minutes.
 
Lantau District and Police College won the Formations Relay and Ladies Relay respectively. Kwun Tong District Commander Chau Cho-kei and Planning and Development Chief Superintendent Cheng Kwok-hung, who is the Chairman of the Police Athletics Club (PAC), took the Directorate Officer Cup and the title of the Most Senior Disciplined Officer Completing the Race respectively.
 
Mr Cheng thanked helpers from Police Football Referee Club and Police Handicrafts Club, Physical Training Instructors from Police College and Police Tactical Unit, and volunteers from Auxiliary Medical Service for their support and assistance for the race.
 
PAC's upcoming event, Police Athletics Championships, will take place at Wan Chai Sports Ground on April 16. Race circular has been posted on Force Noticeboard. Interested officers may contact their Training and Staff Relations Officers for registration.
