About 280 Force members, led by Director of Personnel and Training Chau Kwok-leung, took part in the Po Leung Kuk (PLK) Charity Walk on March 2 and raised a donation of over $76,000.

In appreciation of the officers' support for the charity event, PLK presented three awards to the Force, namely Gold Award for donation of $50,000 or more, Highest Donation Award (Team) and Highest Number of Participants Award (Team).

Accepting the awards on behalf of the Force at PLK Headquarters on March 24, Chief Superintendent (Personnel Services and Staff Relations) Cecilia Ng said: "This Charity Walk is a very meaningful event. The funds raised will brighten up the lives of those in need and the underprivileged and bring warmth to our Home - Hong Kong.  I am glad that the Force has won all the Team Awards of the Charity Walk for the past three consecutive years. This shows that the Force and our colleagues fulfil the social responsibility of caring the community.

"We will continue to uphold the Force's tradition of supporting charity events and extend care to the community, especially the underprivileged, in order to build a caring and safe society."
