To help implement the Force Information Security Strategy, New Territories South (NTS) Region has formed a Monitoring Group on Information Security, with committee members comprising representatives from the districts in NTS. The group has planned to organise various campaigns under a three-pronged strategy consisting of protection and prevention, education and culture, and enforcement and response.

The first campaign took the form of an experience sharing session for about 100 supervisory officers, conducted by the group chairman, Senior Superintendent (SSP) Ko Kim-fung, at NTS Regional Headquarters on May 14. NTS Deputy Regional Commander Lui Hon-kwok stressed at the session's opening address that, NTS attached importance to promoting information security and hoped the forthcoming series of campaigns and activities would help attain this goal.

At the session, SSP Ko illustrated the Force Information Security Strategy, the roles of supervisory officers in information security, as well as the monitoring group's action plan. He also drew the attention of the audience to the group's slogan, "Information Security, Our Responsibility", in a bid to secure their support.
