The New Territories South (NTS) Regional Crime Prevention Office held a Racial Harmony Friendly Football Match at Police Sports and Recreation Club on May 31. Officiating at the kick-off ceremony were NTS Regional Commander Lui Hon-kwok and Mr Leslie Santos, the Technical Director of the ChelseaFC Soccer School (HK).

At the invitation of NTS, Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) leaders cheered on and presented prizes to the student players.

In the match, 17 secondary school NEC students, jointly with NTS Junior Police Officer Team, took on NTS Police Officers' Team and ChelseaFC Soccer School (HK) Training Team, who won the match eventually. As a token of his support for the NEC, Mr Santos picked four potential NEC football players in the match and offered them free training in the ChelseaFC Soccer School (HK).

The football match was part of the "Project Chum-Mak" of the NTS NEC Integration Programme, which aims at helping NEC teenagers build up their confidence, prepare for joining the labour market after leaving schools, and acquire a better understanding of local and international enterprises through visits.
