To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Junior Police Call (JPC), Yau Tsim District JPC kicked off a "Crime Prevention, Anti-drugs and Healthy Summer" event on July 8, attracting more than 1 000 people.
 
On hand to support the drive against drugs and crimes were Yau Tsim District Commander Yu Tat-Chung, Yau Tsim District Deputy Commander Siu Kit-hung, Police Public Relations Bureau Superintendent Yau Sin-man, Yau Tsim District JPC Honorary Presidents, community leaders, school principals and students. Throughout the event, the students were reminded to steer clear of drugs and crimes and spend the summer vacation in a meaningful way.
 
The ceremony featured talks by guest speakers from Narcotics Bureau, Kowloon West Regional Crime Prevention Office and Hospital Authority Rehabaid Centre, as well as performances by schools, such as Djembe, Chinese dancing and karate.
