Concerned about burglaries in schools during the summer holiday, Tuen Mun District  (TMDIST) and New Territories North Regional Crime Prevention Office hosted a seminar for about 30 principals from secondary and primary schools on July 9.  On hand to support the seminar were the Chairman of Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Chow Kam-cheung, and the Chairperson of Tuen Mun Federation of Parent-Teacher Association, Ms Emily Suen.

At the seminar, TMDIST Commander Iain McNicol called on schools to pay more attention to  security during the summer holiday. He also advised the audience to keep a watchful eye on the trend of technology crimes, including naked chat blackmail and email and online auction scams, and update their students on the trend. The audience was also provided with crime prevention leaflets.
