To help youths steer clear of illicit drugs and crimes and heighten public awareness of technology crimes, Regional Crime Prevention Office New Territories North (RCPO NTN), Border District (BORDIST) and Yuen Long District (YLDIST) mounted a series of joint publicity drives at Border Control Points (BCP) earlier this summer, sending a strong message to young people: "Protect yourself by staying away from crimes and drugs".

Ta Ku Ling Divisional Commander Lau Cho-kwong, officers from BORDIST Police Community Relations Office, RCPO NTN, together with Senior Police Call and Junior Police Call members as well as Lingnan University Yi Jin Volunteers, handed out fliers at Lo Wu BCP on July 18.

At Shenzhen Bay BCP on July 23, YLDIST Police Public Relations Officer Shiu Wan-yee, officers from Tin Shui Wai Division and RCPO NTN, Yuen Long District Councillor, Mr Kwok Keung, and Non-ethnic Chinese Juvenile Fight Crime Ambassadors of "Project Himalaya" distributed leaflets and souvenirs to the public, driving home information on technology crimes and illicit drugs to many young people crossing the border.
