The Chief Executive, Mr CY Leung, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, and the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, accompanied by Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung, visited officers on standby duty at the Central Government Offices on November 7. They thanked the officers for their efforts and devotion to duty and said they were proud of their performance.

The CE and the two principal officials also appreciated the difficulties the officers were facing and expressed high regard for their professionalism and great restraint in trying time. Meeting officers from various units, they gave them a pat on the back.

Noting that the responsibility of upholding law and order falls squarely on the Force, Mr Tsang reminded officers to remain vigilant at all times and continue to deal with incidents with a high degree of professionalism.

On November 12, the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Paul Tang, and his staff visited frontline officers on standby duty in the Mong Kok Community Centre, accompanied by Director of Personnel and Training Chau Kwok-leung and Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Lau Chi-wai.
