The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, visited Police Headquarters on April 9. The purpose of her visit was to gain a better understanding of the work of the Force on cyber security, technology crime and counter terrorism.
 
Accompanied by Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung, Mrs Lam visited the cyber security centre, which identifies and investigates cyber attacks on the computer systems in Hong Kong. She was briefed on some of the forensic techniques and investigative process employed to tackle technology crime.
 
The next stop was the Counter Terrorism and Internal Security Division, where Mrs Lam got a briefing on the Force's counter-terrorism strategy and the tactics employed by the Division to protect Hong Kong's critical infrastructure from terrorist attack. 
 
In meeting and exchanging views with officers from Operations Wing, Mrs Lam commended Force members for their dedication to, and professionalism in, maintaining public safety, and encouraged them to continue to serve the public with pride and care.
